A Life Remembered
“A builder of things and of people — steady, exact, and endlessly kind.”
James Okonkwo was a civil engineer who helped raise bridges across two continents and a family across one city. Born in Enugu, he emigrated to Toronto and mentored a generation of young engineers, always with the same advice: measure twice, and be generous. He loved jazz records, long drives, and Sunday calls with his grandchildren. He leaves a legacy you can walk across.
